Hey friend 👋

Money, minus the mystery

You do not need more discipline, more spreadsheets or more willpower. You need a handful of simple systems that run quietly in the background while you get on with your life.

Free. No account, no spreadsheet, no shame.

Most money advice tells you to try harder. We think that is backwards. Every calm, wealthy person you know is running systems that make good decisions automatically. That is learnable in an afternoon.

The difference

Same income. Same person.
One of them just has a plan

A tangle of scattered arrows labelled without a system beside four calm parallel pipes labelled with a system
Nothing here requires more willpower. It is the same money, routed on purpose.

Who this is for

Four people, one system

Two of them are brand new at this. Two have been earning for a decade. None of them needs a financial advisor - they need the same ten systems. Pick whoever sounds most like you.

Priya

Late twenties · new to all of this

A big future income and almost no present cash, plus a loan balance she would rather not look at.

Marcus

Marcus

Early thirties · seven years in

A salary that looked life-changing on the offer letter and somehow disappears every single month.

Kenji

Kenji

Mid twenties · first real paycheck

Most of his net worth sits in one company, he has never really understood the paperwork, and he is sure there is time.

Dana

Dana

Mid thirties · fifteen years in

Making more than she ever has and tracking less than she ever has. It works right up until the year it does not.

The idea

Your money already flows somewhere.
A system just decides where

Income splitting into taxes, loans, life and invest, with invest circled
Same paycheck. The only thing that changed is where it was told to go.
1

See what you have

Take a calm inventory of the accounts and habits already working for you. Most people have more in place than they think.

2

Fill the obvious gaps

One or two missing pieces usually explain most of the stress. You fix those first, and the noise drops fast.

3

Let it run

Automate the boring parts, put a short review on the calendar, and go live your life. That is the whole trick.

What we cover

Ten systems, and that is the whole list

Behind almost every calm financial life is the same short list of accounts and habits. Most people already have four or five of them running without realising it. The work is knowing which ones are missing and why they matter.

  • The everyday accounts that keep cash flowing
  • The buffer that turns emergencies into inconveniences
  • The accounts that grow quietly in the background
  • The tax and protection pieces most people skip

It keeps working

The same system, at every stage

You do not graduate to a different set of rules when the income grows. The pieces just get bigger, and the system keeps doing its job.

One system, explained per video

Short, friendly, drawn out by hand. Every episode takes one technique, shows the system underneath it, and shows what it quietly compounds into.

Why bother

The point is not the spreadsheet

The point is the Sunday evening where money does not come up. The bonus that does not trigger a week of second-guessing. The bill that arrives and simply gets paid.

A system buys you back attention. That is the real return, and it shows up long before the numbers get big.

Free, and genuinely useful

Who is behind this

Hi, I'm Jason

I am a patent litigator. I spent years watching very capable people, including myself, treat money as the one thing you are supposed to just intuitively know how to do.

It turns out the people who look effortless about money are not more disciplined. They set up a handful of systems early and let those systems make the decisions. The Simple Money Plan is me writing that down in plain language, and drawing it out, so it stops being a mystery.

Everything here is education, not advice. I am not selling you a fund, a policy, or a dream.

Fair questions

Before you start

Is this another budgeting app?

No. There is nothing to install and no accounts to link. This is about the handful of systems sitting behind your money, and getting them pointed in the right direction.

I am not good with money. Will this work?

That is exactly who it is for. Systems are what let people who are not interested in money still end up fine. You do not have to become a finance person.

How much time does it really take?

Ten minutes for the check-up. After that, most people spend under an hour a month, and a lot of that is just looking at something once and closing the laptop.

Is this financial advice?

No. It is education about how systems work. Anything specific to your situation belongs with a professional who knows your facts.

are not the most disciplined.
They just built the system first.
